The XD3-40d and XD3-40t 4″ direct thermal and thermal transfer desktop label printers are members of the BIXOLON XD3-40 Series. They feature high reliability, a compact (clamshell) designs and a good price-performance ratio. While the XD3-40d is primarily used in manufacturing and healthcare, the XD3-40t is better suited for retail, transportation and logistics. Regardless of the application, both label printers support users with fast data processing and a maximum print speed of up to 127 mm/sec. at 203 dpi.
Equipment of the XD3-40 Series include a large memory of 64 MB SDRAM and 125 MB flash, as well as a simple paper feed with an adjustable paper guide and holder. USB 2.0 as a standard interface and optional USB, serial and ethernet provide a wide range of connection options. Plus, the printers are compatible with nearly all market-leading programming languages and offer intelligent programming language switching without complicated mode settings. Media sensor setup is also very simple and maintenance of the platen and print head requires no tools.
